Mindwell

Case Study, by

While services exist to help university students manage stress, many fail to actively engage with them and instead relying on students to reach out first.

In response, we present Mindwell: A Wellbeing Network. Operating out of trucks as mobile offices, Mindwell hosts on-campus mindfulness exercises for students, rewarding healthy meals for participation. It encourages engagement with an online mural and connects students to a network of peers aiming to maintain a healthy lifestyle at university.

mobile workstations

Our network is made up of a series of food trucks and screen trucks that travel between university campuses in New South Wales.

On site they set up stations to facilitate participation in group mindfulness exercises, distribution of healthy meals, and a live display of a mural consisting of completed exercises that students all around the state have completed.

social participation

The collective impact is to create a support platform that removes the difficult of asking for help at university.

Students can complete mindfulness exercises for the mural in pairs, encouraging social participation. This mural is constantly updating with new images and provides information on how to access the Mindwell website and mobile application, where they can connect with like-minded students and access more materials and exercises about mindfulness and wellbeing. Maintaining constant engagement with students aims to ensure they stay on the path of mental wellbeing.
