UN Day in Schools

The UN Day Schools Program is an initiative by the United Nations Association of Australia (NSW Division) to annually celebrate UN Day and invite NSW schools to hold a ‘Blue Mufti Day’ and other activities that highlight and promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The UN Day Schools Program aims to:

  • Inform students about the critical work of the United Nations and the Global Goals
  • Engage students across different grade levels, encouraging them to take action for the SDGs
  • Strengthen schools’ commitment to nurturing global citizens and leaders of tomorrow
  • Support schools to partner with community to achieve Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development

Research Mission:
To promote the program and engage key stakeholders, including NSW primary and high schools across the public, Catholic, and private education systems, and other educational organisations.

Key Aims and Objectives:

  1. Design a brand for the UN Day Schools Program that appeals to all stakeholders.
  2. Develop a social media campaign targeting each of the key stakeholders.
  3. Create a slide deck with key messages for each stakeholder group.

Symbolising the Volunteer Program's dynamic and inclusive nature, this identity embodies the initiative's spirit of learning, growth, and community impact. It is designed to be inclusive and engaging, appealing to a diverse range of stakeholders, from students and volunteers to organisational partners. The branding conveys a sense of professionalism and enthusiasm, emphasising the program’s mission to foster impactful learning experiences. Through thoughtful design, the brand captures the essence of the program, making it instantly recognisable and trusted by its audience.

Our students created a compelling social media campaign to inspire and engage a diverse range of stakeholders. This campaign features a dynamic mix of posts, graphics, and videos tailored to connect with different audiences.

This approach ensures that the message of volunteering and contributing to the UN SDGs resonates widely, encouraging more people to join the initiative.
