An evolving design workspace makes emerging scope, tensions, possibilities and next moves visible while keeping the designer actively involved in shaping what comes next.

Embedded assistant
The first public prototype introduced SEED as a conversational scaffold for framing design situations, developing concepts and bringing social and ecological considerations into early-stage inquiry.
Learning companion
Teaching trials and research development reframed the interaction around staged reflection, productive friction and pedagogical guidance rather than rapid answer generation.
Standalone platform
The redesigned platform connects conversation to a living synthesis and evolving design workspace, supported by co-designer prompts, voice interaction, project snapshots and systems-aware reflection.

Academic provenance
SEED AI was created by Matthew Lahoud as an extension of the SEED framework (Lahoud et al., 2024). Its pedagogical dimensions and ongoing development are being examined through his PhD research and creative practice.
